April 2008 Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008
In attendance were: Club President Diana Davis, Vice President Chris Gallo, Secretary Barbara Shaffner, Webmaster Elizabeth Bainger, and member parents Al Bainger, Suzie Fitzgerald and Mary Lacroix.
The meeting was called to order at 6:40pm.
The first item brought for discussion was the club's upcoming May 2nd Spring Show. Chip Gallo has graciously agreed to record the show, with Dave Horch's help, and he will offer DVD's at the pre-order price of $10/each copy as long as at least ten copies are pre-ordered by attendees. Cost to order a copy at the show will be $15/each for the first copy, $10 for each subsequent copy per family.
The next item discussed was the "Tots to Tweens" program, which a representative brought to Diana Davis's attention recently. They are a parental information site that would charge $100 to the club to advertise activities via this program. After discussion it was agreed by members present to not participate in this program. Diana will let the representative know our decision.
The third item at this meeting was nominations for club officers for the upcoming year. The names placed in nomination for the upcoming year are: Joyce Glorioso, President; Diana Davis, Vice President; Suzie Fitzgerald, Secretary; and Sydney Pace, Treasurer. Ballots must be received by Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 6:30pm for counting. An absentee ballot will be made available for club members' use if they cannot attend the May 20th meeting. The nominees' names will be posted on the club board.
Webmaster Elizabeth Bainger discussed taking an updated club photo for the home page of the club's website. A photo will be taken after the "Whatever" show on May 2nd.
The final item discussed was the possibility/feasibility of a club picnic. It was mentioned that some sort of "year end" event could be held at the rink; this will be discussed at a later date.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40pm.
